The Vaibhav Sooryavanshi effect has already extended beyond the IPL boundary ropes. In a significant development, the upcoming one-day tri-series in Sri Lanka featuring India A, Sri Lanka A, and Afghanistan A, is set to be telecast live, largely driven by the massive fan interest around the 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals sensation.
Matches are expected to be live-streamed on the Sony LIV app and broadcast on the Sony Sports Network in India. Fans can also catch the action on Sri Lanka Cricket’s official social media channels.

The tournament runs from June 9 to June 21, 2026, with all matches at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium. India A open their campaign against Sri Lanka A on June 9, before facing Afghanistan A on June 11. The top two teams after the league stage will meet in the final on June 21.
Sooryavanshi, who lit up IPL 2026 with a string of fearless knocks for Rajasthan Royals, is expected to slot straight into India A’s playing XI for their opening match. His selection has turned what would typically be a low-profile A-team series into a must-watch event for Indian cricket fans.
Following the white-ball series, India A will also play two multi-day red-ball matches against Sri Lanka A in Galle, with that squad to be announced separately.
