Format of AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup

The AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup follows a group-and-knockout format featuring 12 teams divided into three groups of four. Each team plays three matches in the group stage, following a round-robin system.

The top two teams from each group qualify directly for the quarter-finals. They are joined by the two best third-placed teams, completing the eight-team knockout lineup.
