Kyle Jamieson, representing Delhi Capitals, has been handed a warning along with one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the Indian Premier League Code of Conduct during Match No. 43 against Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
The incident occurred during Friday night’s clash in Jaipur, a game that generated significant buzz due to the anticipated face-off between young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and star pacer Mitchell Starc. However, Jamieson quickly stole the spotlight by dismissing the teenage batter in just the second over.
Sooryavanshi struck a first-ball boundary off Jamieson before being bowled by the New Zealand pacer the very next delivery. After taking the wicket, Jamieson clapped aggressively in front of the young player and gave him a fiery send-off.

The BCCI stated that Jamieson was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the match.
Jamieson admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by Match Referee Rajeev Seth.
The incident drew mixed reactions on social media, with many fans criticising Jamieson’s response to the 15-year-old as over the top.
Despite the controversy, KL Rahul scored 75 off 40 and Pathum Nissanka hit 62 off 33, anchoring a commanding 110-run opening stand as Delhi chased down Rajasthan’s 225 with five balls to spare.
