Babar Azam delivered a stunning performance at the National Stadium in Karachi, scoring an unbeaten 100 off 52 balls for Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2026. It was his 12th T20 century and third in the PSL, ending a barren run of nearly two years without a hundred in the format.
In a remarkable stat, Babar faced just one dot ball throughout his innings, a first for any batter playing 50 or more deliveries in a T20 match. He struck six fours and four sixes, with most runs coming through sharp running between the wickets.

Kusal Mendis contributed a blazing 83, and their 135-run second-wicket stand set the platform for Zalmi’s mammoth 255/3, the third-highest total in PSL history. Quetta were bowled out for 137, handing Zalmi a 118-run victory.
The innings brought a flood of records. Babar is now the fastest to 100 T20 half-centuries, surpassing Virat Kohli, and has drawn level with him for most century partnerships in T20 cricket with 47. He also shares the PSL record for most hundreds (3) with Kamran Akmal, Rilee Rossouw, and Usman Khan.
With 401 runs in seven innings this season, Babar sits second on PSL 2026’s run charts, just behind his teammate Mendis. Only Chris Gayle’s 22 T20 centuries stand ahead of his tally of 12.
