PCB Confirms Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ Team For ACC Asia Cup 2026

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ squad for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. The tournament will take place from 13 to 22 February in Bangkok, Thailand. This T20 format event aims to develop emerging talent from Asian cricket nations.

Tournament Format and Groups

Eight teams will compete in the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. Pakistan ‘A’ have been placed in Group A alongside India ‘A’, UAE, and Nepal. Group B includes Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia, and hosts Thailand. Each team will play three group stage matches. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on 20 February. The final will be held on 22 February.

Squad Composition

Umm-e-Hani will lead the 15-member Pakistan Women’s ‘A’ squad as captain. The off-spinning all-rounder brings international experience to the team. She will be supported by fellow capped players including pacer Waheeda Akhtar and batter Shawaal Zulfiqar.

  • Wicket-keepers: Komal Khan (Lahore), Yusra Amir (Karachi)
  • All-rounders: Noreen Yaqoob (Lahore), Umm-e-Hani (Faisalabad)
  • Spinners: Anosha Nasir (Karachi), Momina Riasat (Abbottabad)
  • Pacers: Lubna Behram (Hunza), Neha Sharmin Nadeem (Karachi), Syeda Masooma Jafri (Karachi), Waheeda Akhtar (Lahore)

Pakistan Women’s U19 captain Eman Naseer and batter Komal Khan earned their call-ups after strong performances in the recent 3-2 T20 series win over Bangladesh Women’s U19. A total of 30 players attended a week-long probable camp at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre from 25 January. The final 15-member squad was selected from this camp.

The team will conduct a pre-tournament training camp before departing for Thailand on 10 February. The Pakistan vs India ‘A’ clash on 15 February is the most anticipated match of the group stage.
