Sahibzada Farhan produced a breathtaking unbeaten century to guide Multan Sultans to a record-breaking chase against Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The Sultans overhauled a daunting 226-run target with six wickets in hand and eight balls to spare, the fifth-highest successful chase in HBL PSL history.

The Kingsmen hit back briefly in the middle overs through Hassan Khan and Saim Ayub, but Farhan held firm. Shan Masood contributed a brisk 29 off 16 balls, before Arafat Minhas delivered an unbeaten 26 off 11 to seal the win in style. Farhan finished with a massive six over long-on, completing the chase in the 19th over.

Farhan’s commanding 106 not out off 57 balls, laced with seven fours and eight sixes, anchored the chase from start to finish, his ninth T20 century and second in HBL PSL. He shared a 104-run opening stand with Steven Smith, who blazed 46 off just 20 balls to set an aggressive tone. Multan’s powerplay of 83 runs was the fourth-highest in HBL PSL history.

Earlier, Hyderabad Kingsmen posted 225 for five, powered by Maaz Sadaqat’s explosive 62 off 26 balls, joint-third fastest fifty in HBL PSL history, and Sharjeel Khan’s unbeaten 51 on his return to PSL after three seasons.

The victory also broke the record for the highest successful chase at Gaddafi Stadium, surpassing Peshawar Zalmi’s chase of 215 earlier in this edition. The match produced a combined aggregate of 452 runs, the highest ever at the venue in HBL PSL history. With his ninth T20 hundred, Farhan drew level with Virat Kohli and edged closer to Babar Azam in the elite list of T20 centurions. Multan climbed to the top of the PSL 2026 standings, while Hyderabad remained winless after three games.
