Kolkata Knight Riders have suffered a major blow ahead of their playoff push, with young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026. Sources confirmed the 20-year-old will be sidelined for up to three months due to a finger injury.
Raghuvanshi had already been stood down from KKR’s next game against Delhi Capitals under ICC concussion protocols, after colliding with teammate Varun Chakaravarthy during their match against the Mumbai Indians.

The youngster suffered dizziness, headache, and neck discomfort, with Tejasvi Dahiya brought in as a substitute. ICC regulations require a mandatory seven-day stand-down period following a concussion before a player can return to competitive cricket.
Despite being ruled out, Raghuvanshi is expected to remain with the squad for the rest of their campaign.
KKR currently sit sixth in the standings and face eighth-placed Delhi Capitals at Eden Gardens on May 24. Without Raghuvanshi, the three-time champions will need others to step up as they fight for a playoff spot, depending on both their own results and other outcomes going their way.
